Drug interaction guide

Taking these two medicines together can increase the risk of a rare but serious condition called 'serotonin syndrome'. Why this happens

Both medicines increase the levels of serotonin in the brain. When used together, these effects add up and can lead to dangerously high levels. Additionally, both drugs can interfere with how your blood clots, which increases the risk of bleeding.

You should speak to your doctor before taking these two medicines together. They may want to adjust your dose or monitor you more closely. If you are already taking both and feel unwell, confused, or notice unusual bleeding, contact your doctor immediately.
