Can I take 15 and Tramadol together?

Combining alcohol and tramadol can lead to dangerous levels of drowsiness, extreme sleepiness, and breathing difficulties. It can also cause a significant drop in blood pressure and heart rate, which may lead to fainting or collapse. In severe cases, this combination can be fatal.

Why this happens

Both alcohol and tramadol are 'central nervous system depressants'. This means they both slow down brain activity and the signals that control breathing and heart rate. When taken together, they 'double up' on these effects, making them much more powerful and dangerous than when taken alone.

You must not drink alcohol while taking tramadol. Even small amounts of alcohol can increase the risk of life-threatening side effects. If you have already taken both and feel extremely sleepy or have trouble breathing, seek emergency medical help immediately.
