Why this happens

Both substances can lower blood pressure and heart rate (additive effect). Furthermore, CBD can block certain liver enzymes (CYP3A4 and CYP2D6) that are responsible for clearing bisoprolol from your body, which may increase the risk of side effects.

You should speak to your doctor before using CBD with bisoprolol. If you do use them together, monitor your blood pressure and heart rate regularly. Seek medical advice if you feel very dizzy or if your heart feels like it is beating very slowly. It is illegal to drive with any cannabis products (including CBD containing THC) in your system in the UK.
