Can I take Abiraterone and Cozaar together?

Why this happens

Abiraterone can lower blood pressure as a side effect. Cozaar is designed to lower blood pressure. When used together, their effects add up. Additionally, abiraterone can affect hormone levels (mineralocorticoids) in a way that, when combined with Cozaar, makes it harder for your kidneys to clear potassium from your body.

You must speak with your doctor before taking these together. They will likely need to monitor your blood pressure and perform regular blood tests to check your potassium levels. Seek medical help immediately if you feel very dizzy, faint, or notice an irregular heartbeat.
