Can I take Accrete d3 and Amitriptyline together?

Taking Accrete D3 (calcium and vitamin D3) with amitriptyline can potentially lead to high levels of calcium in your blood (hypercalcaemia). This can increase the risk of developing an irregular heartbeat or heart rhythm problems.

Why this happens

Amitriptyline can sometimes affect the electrical signals in the heart. If Accrete D3 causes calcium levels to become too high, it can make the heart more sensitive to these effects, potentially leading to heart rhythm disturbances.

You should use this combination with caution. Speak to your doctor or pharmacist before taking them together. Your doctor may want to monitor your calcium levels through regular blood tests or check your heart rhythm (ECG), especially if you are taking high doses of either medicine. If you experience palpitations, dizziness, or a fluttering heart, seek medical advice immediately.
