There is no significant harmful interaction between aspirin and simvastatin. In fact, these two medicines are very commonly prescribed together to help prevent heart attacks and strokes.

Why this happens
Aspirin works by making the blood less 'sticky' (antiplatelet), while simvastatin works by lowering cholesterol in the liver. Because they work in completely different ways and are processed by different pathways in the body, they do not interfere with each other's effectiveness or safety.
