Taking magnesium-containing antacids at the same time as celecoxib can lower the amount of celecoxib that gets into your bloodstream. This might make the painkiller less effective at managing your symptoms.

Magnesium (often found in antacids) can interfere with how the body absorbs celecoxib from the digestive tract, leading to lower levels of the medicine in your system.
What you should do
