Crispy Tilapia Fillets with Fennel-Mint Tzatziki

These crispy tilapia fillets with fennel-mint tzatziki offer a sophisticated twist on a classic breaded fish dish. This high-protein main course balances the delicate flavour of white fish with a crunchy panko coating and a vibrant, anise-scented sauce. The addition of ground fennel seeds in the breading provides an aromatic depth that perfectly complements the fresh herbs, creating a light yet satisfying meal.

Ideal for a quick midweek dinner or a nutritious lunch, this recipe uses Greek-style yoghurt to create a thick, cooling tzatziki that is a refreshing alternative to tartare sauce. The use of white balsamic vinegar adds a gentle acidity that lifts the whole dish. Serve these golden fillets alongside a crisp green salad or some steamed seasonal vegetables for a healthy homemade meal.
