Sweet-Hot BBQ Tater Chips

These sweet and spicy barbecue sweet potato chips offer a vibrant, smoky twist on a classic side dish. By grilling the potatoes directly over a medium heat, you achieve a wonderful contrast between the slightly charred, caramelised exterior and the tender, fluffy centre. The combination of earthy rosemary and a hint of cayenne pepper provides a sophisticated heat that perfectly complements the natural sweetness of the potatoes.

As a naturally vegan dish, these chips are an excellent addition to any summer gathering or outdoor dinner party. They pair beautifully with plant-based burgers or individual corn on the cob, making them a versatile choice for those seeking a healthier, more flavourful alternative to traditional deep-fried chips. Serve them warm while the spicy glaze is at its best.
