Ranch Dip with Vegetables

This homemade ranch dip is a versatile vegetarian staple that far surpasses any shop-bought alternative. By combining cool soured cream and creamy mayonnaise with a generous handful of fresh flat-leaf parsley and chives, you create a vibrant, herby dressing that is both refreshing and indulgent. The addition of a hint of garlic and seasoning ensures a well-balanced flavour profile that perfectly complements an array of colourful, crunchy vegetables.

Ideal as a healthy afternoon snack or a crowd-pleasing party platter, this dip is best prepared an hour in advance to let the flavours infuse properly. Serving it with a selection of carrot sticks, celery, and juicy cherry tomatoes makes for a nutritious and fibrous treat. For a sophisticated touch, the inclusion of jicama adds a unique, crisp texture that pairs beautifully with the thick, velvety dip.
