Val nahm 2016 an der Great British Bake Off teil und eroberte mit ihren hausgemachten Backwaren schnell die Herzen der Nation.
Originally from Conisbrough, near Doncaster, she now lives with her husband Ian in Somerton, Somerset. At 15 she took over the family baking and has been staying at the helm of the kitchen for over 50 years.
In her spare time Val loves to exercise and has even been caught doing aerobics in her kitchen whilst waiting for jam to boil or bread to prove.
