Can I take Atorvastatin and Eplerenone together?

Why this happens

Atorvastatin is a cholesterol-lowering medicine (statin) and eplerenone is a potassium-sparing diuretic (water pill). They are processed by the body using different pathways and do not interfere with how the other works. There are no shared side effects that would cause concern when combined.

What you should do

You can continue to take both medications as prescribed by your doctor. As with all medications, you should still attend your regular blood tests to monitor your cholesterol levels, kidney function, and potassium levels.
