There is no known harmful interaction between biotin (Vitamin B7) and Vitamin D. It is generally safe to take these two supplements together.

Why this happens
Biotin and Vitamin D are processed by the body using different pathways. Biotin is a water-soluble B vitamin, while Vitamin D is a fat-soluble vitamin. They do not compete for absorption in the gut, nor do they interfere with how the other is broken down or used by the body.
What you should do
Back to contentsYou can continue to take both supplements as directed by your healthcare provider or the product packaging. However, be aware that high doses of biotin can interfere with certain laboratory blood tests (such as thyroid or heart enzyme tests).
